Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
573 Hwy 51, Suite BRidgeland, MS 39157
What can I expect the first session?

The first session is critical point in the therapeutic process. Most clients are trying to determine if they feel comfortable enough to be open with this stranger sitting across from them.

Our goal is to make the transition as natural as possible so that you feel able to communicate the thoughts and ideas that you need to express to be understood.

We provide clients with the opportunity to fill out and sign all necessary paperwork prior to the first session.

With paperwork out of the way, we can spend the majority of our time getting to know you in a face-to-face, conversational style that allows you the freedom to ask questions or provide the information that you feel is necessary.

Who benefits from therapy?

The short answer? Everyone who wants to benefit from therapy does.

There are times that you may desire change, but you don’t feel able to commit to the therapeutic process – and that’s okay!

But commitment to doing the work of therapy and recovery is necessary for change to occur. The good news is that people who are ready can and will.

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of therapy is determined by a variety of factors. And while it is impossible to know exactly how long a client will need to achieve his or her goals, it is important that the goals of treatment be clearly identified in the initial sessions of treatment.

We believe that our clients should have a clear understanding of why they are being seen, what they wish to accomplish in therapy, and how they are able to measure their individual therapeutic progress.

How do you work with clients?

We use a variety of approaches to address when working with clients, including assessments for trauma and addiction, cognitive behavioral techniques, narrative therapy, mindfulness techniques, and recovery focused 12-step principles.

Our therapists are trained through International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and Addo Recovery.

This training allows us to focus our treatment on understanding and treating the underlying history of trauma and attachment to address the current issues you might be facing.

Do you accept insurance?

Our therapists are in network with a variety of insurance companies including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, & United Healthcare/ UBH/ UHC.
